Is The adidas Yeezi Better Than The Nike Air Yeezy? According to Big Sean It Is.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we still don’t know many details regarding the highly anticipated adidas Yeezi. All we know is that Kanye just flew out to China to work on the kicks and this is a possible prototype of the shoe, or this. The truth is we don’t know very much, which is something new and refreshing in the sneaker community to know that images of the sneaker haven’t leaked yet.
Someone who know more than us is Kanye’s good friend Big Sean. In a recent interview with Highsnobiety Big Sean was asked if he had seen the leaked pictures of what was believed to be the adidas Yeezi. This is what he had to say, “I actually haven’t seen the image but I have seen the new shoe. I can’t say much about it other than it’s definitely better than the last one and more improved, just like everything else Kanye does.”
So there you go boys and girls, Big Sean says that Kanye’s new sneaker is better than his Nike Air Yeezy, for whatever that’s worth. Are you looking forward to the adidas Yeezi?
Family reacts to quintuple murder on E. 92nd
Police tell us they have interviewed a couple of people who are currently in jail and they are processing fingerprints and vehicles, but there are no suspects in the horrific murders of five people on the East side on Friday night.
After something like this, how do you hold it together?
"I said 'Uncle where are you going?', he said 'I'm going home' and I said 'I'll see you later,'" said Tonia Anderson, who told 19 Action News about the last time she saw her uncle Friday, just hours before he was brutally murdered.
Her uncle, Lemon Bryant, was 60. His daughter Regina says he loved to cook and garden.
"I just cant even wrap my head around how all this happened," Regina said. "It's hurtful, I don't understand."
Nobody does. Friday night on E. 92nd, someone killed Bryant, his 18-year-old nephew Jario Taylor, 17-year-old Shaylona Williams, and Bryant's 41-year-old girlfriend Sherita Johnson, who was pregnant. The baby also died.
"We cannot make any sense of why somebody would want to do that to the five victims, they didn't hurt anybody," said friend John Anderson.
There was a vigil at MLK High School yesterday where Taylor and Williams were seniors. And a vigil last night in front of the home for all five victims.
The family is devastated.
"They took lives that didn't deserve to get taken if anybody knows anything please help us," Harper said.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Cleveland Police say 12-year-old Davia Garth and her mother, Sonya Garth-Gray, were shot on Clement Avenue Thursday evening. Both were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where Davia died from her injuries. The shooting happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 6900 block of Clement Avenue.
According to investigators, Garth-Gray was arguing with her husband, Rufus Gray, when he pulled out a gun and started shooting, hitting her and Davia.
Gray, 59, was arrested at the scene, but has yet to be charged. He recently got off probation in another domestic case this week. He has other felony domestic cases and a manslaughter conviction that began as a murder case. Garth-Gray had recently filed for divorce from Gray, for the fifth time-she dropped the first four cases
Garth-Gary was initially listed in critical condition following the incident but has since been released. According to sources the mother was shot three times and Davia was shot trying to get out of the way.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner is still working on the final cause of death.
Our Scott Taylor noticed Davia's 7th grade class at Hope Academy North Coast School was holding a memorial march for Davia. Garth-Gray talked with her daughter's school that morning.
"Her message is she didn't want Davia forgotten. We are committed to making sure that doesn't happen so we are going to recognize Davia today and the weeks to come," said Principal Willie Banks.
"Our class was saying she always had a smile on her face. Always made us laugh. Always had goofy faces she would give everybody. That's what we are thinking about today," said Davia's teacher, Laura Moherek.
Peace in the Hood will hold a vigil for Davia and her mother on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at the home on 6909 Clement Ave.

Air Jordan 1 “30th Anniversary”
Jordan Brand will be celebrating their 30 year anniversary in 2015 and there is some pretty big things planned for the huge milestone. Many colorways, old and new, of classic silhouettes will be releasing in “remastered” versions next year. One that has been quietly flying under the radar is this Air Jordan 1 “Laser” that celebrates 30 years since the Air Jordan 1 was first introduced back in 1985.
The Air Jordan 1 “30th Anniversary” features a white leather base upper with Nike Air branding on the tongue. The stand-out characteristic of the shoe is the laser print that takes over lots of the upper as well as the blue translucent sole. Take a look at the pictures above. Do you plan on picking these up when they release in 2015. Did Jordan Brand commemorate the Air Jordan 1 correctly with this sneaker?

The Nike KD 7 ‘Bad Apple’ Proves That There’s One In Every Bunch
Kevin Durant continues to pay off for Nike and we are on the cusp of yet another dope Nike KD 7 release. This time the signature sneaker is given a colorway dubbed the ‘Bad Apple’ and it certainly has a familiar feel thanks to Kanye.
It’s hard not to draw a comparison between the Nike KD 7 ‘Bad Apple’ and the Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Solar Red’ but while similar the colorways are definitely not the same. The biggest difference is that Kevin’s kick employs Action Red which reads darker than Solar Red and also features Medium Mint as well.
The Nike KD 7 will be at select retailers this weekend for $150 bucks which is a small price to pay for such an ill colorway.

The trend continues with this rendition of the Nike Lebron 11 Low, which leaves a bit of a nature-reminiscent feel to help transition from Summer to Fall. The sneaker gets dressed in a Mystic Green base and receives help from Medium Mint along the mudguard and laces. Bits of Crimson pop up along the outsole and eyelets which wraps up the desing. Check for these kicks at your local Nike retailer if you’re interested.
Patrick Ewing Accepts Michael Jordan’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Is it safe to say, nobody is safe? We hope there aren’t any water shortages going on in the world the way people are tossing buckets ice of water over their heads for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Looks like anyone is liable to become a victim as we have seen people like Kobe Bryant, Nike CEO Mark Parker, and others take on the challenge but your “Airness” Michael Jordan had a special request for his 1992 Dream Team teammates, Charlotte Hornets assistant coach and former New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing, and Phil Jackson. Check out MJ’s footage of his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge below. Are we the only one’s who haven’t dumped buckets of ice water over our heads? Whose will be next on the challenge list? Join the cause, you can watch the video of Ewing’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge here.

Nike Air Max Plus “Casper” – Do You Believe In Ghost?
How can you ever get tired of a timeless Air Max sneaker? Blessed again by the sneaker lords to see the return of the Nike Air Max Plus, Nike now Introduces the launch of the Nike Air Max Plus “Casper.” Built in a Snow White sports mesh for the upper featuring a White on White on White on White, color palette with hints of patent leather throughout. You will also see shots of Grey used, while standing on the loved Tuned Air unit heel and 360 bubble system out sole. Casper was a friendly “Ghost” and these are nothing less than a nice drop from the Nike Brand. Better go cop yours now or be left with the I just seen a ghost face. The Nike Air Max Plus “Casper” is now available at select Nike Brand retailers including Footlocker
Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Elephant Print” – Life’s A Jungle
Looks like the Nike Brand is far from finished with the Air Foamposite Pro and with this drop, the resurrection of the Foamposites may have just begun. Lately Nike’s Foamposite releases have been hit or miss but it definitely looks like a home-run introducing the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Elephant Print.” Crafted in Wolf Grey and a full Elephant print foam shell for the upper, also featuring accents of Black throughout. You would have thought the Black Swoosh was a piece of art as it lays against the side of the silhouette, standing on top of a Bright Pink out sole. They say nothing in this world is perfect but if I had to choose, the color pallete used on this sneaker would definitely be it. Is this the hope that we all have been looking for from Nike and the Foamposite series? Though no official release date has been announced the streets say these are slated to debut October 2014. Stay tuned to KoF for more information and release news.

Kell Brook def. Shawn Porter, Majority Dec (117-111, 116-112, 114-114)
In a battle of undefeated rising fighters, UK combatant Kell Brook scored the upset win, defeating Shawn Porter by majority decision. It was an incredibly close fight that was tough to judge, with both men having a lot of success at times. Porter's game was what we have frequently seen from him as he looked to fight his way inside and rough Brook up from the clinch. Brook meanwhile used a counter punching game to catch Porter as he came inside. That battle of aggression vs. counter striking kept up throughout the fight, though as the fight progressed, Brook seemed to gain confidence and turn the tide more in his favor. Porter fought hard until the final bell, making this a tough fight to score, but at the end of the day, Brook remains undefeated and takes home the Welterweight title.

Rory McIlroy
This past Sunday, Rory McIlroy completed a rare feat by becoming only the fourth golfer to win a fourth major tournament before turning 26, joining an exclusive club that includes Jack Nicklaus*, Tiger Woods and Bobby Jones. McIlroy is currently in the midst of a streak that has seen him win three high profile tournaments in a row, including this past July’s British Open and a World Golf Championship event. With the next major – the 2015 Masters – months away, the Rory hype train is only going to grow in anticipation as fans around the world will be tuning in to see if he can complete a career grand slam (winning all four majors) at such an early age. It’s a groundswell of attention and support for the sport that we haven’t seen since Tiger was at his best during the 2000s.
So you would think that by now Nike Golf would be dropping exclusive Rory product online and in pro shops as his career is back on the upswing (pun intended). But that isn’t the case; in fact, Rory hasn’t really been doing that much selling ever since he signed with Nike Golf, at least in the signature department.
Last year, Rory signed a massive endorsement deal with Nike Golf reportedly worth upwards of $250 million. There was plenty of hoopla surrounding the deal because it was a sign Nike Golf had finally found the man that would eventually replace Tiger. Back then, we wondered aloud what Rory would mean for Nike Golf. We imagined not only signature product, but a move into the lifestyle department as well. If Rory was ever going to justify the massive deal Nike gave him, he was going to have to be somebody who transcended the game; not necessarily in the way Tiger once did because Tiger is such a unique figure, but he would have to at least be the guy that was not only making headlines in golf circles, but in the mainstream press as well. And for all of 2013 and right up until these past few months, Rory was making headlines but for entirely different reasons. Whether it was struggles on the course or his very public relationship with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, we could see Rory, but not in the way we envisioned.
Now that Rory has seemingly righted the ship, both he and Nike Golf can now look to the future. After wearing the Nike Lunar Control II this year, it seems inevitable now (right?) that we will see Rory signature product, including his first shoe. When those drop initially, they will sell like you thought they were retros. Golfers love to latch on to the latest hot trend, whether it be in equipment or in shoes or apparel. If they see somebody like Rory absolutely crushing it on tour, you can be sure that fans will be rocking the same stuff the following week, regardless of the brand he was on. Kind of reminds me of a certain segment of our readers…
But what can we hope to see in a Rory signature shoe? If you’ve been looking at their recent efforts, Nike Golf has been designing golf shoes that are aesthetically pleasing not only at the country club but also for a casual stroll. It’s that sweet spot that the brand has to hit when it comes Rory’s shoes because today’s generation of golfers and the ones coming after them are not only about playing good but looking good as well doing it. Jason Dufner notwithstanding, gone are the days of players like John Daly and Craig Stadler dominating the field. Style will never replace substance when it comes to golf, but when you see all of these young golfers that were no doubt influenced by Tiger, you can be a pretty good golfer and look damn good doing it. It’s unlikely that we will see things like the “What The” colorway come to Rory’s signature shoe, but he has shown that he’s not afraid to mix things up with color on the Lunar Control II. From Volt to Hyper Pink, Rory has that nice blend of traditional golf attire that won’t get you kicked out but with a sleek Nike gloss to them that is undeniably a swoosh product. And if Rory were to wear a pair of Jordan retros just on a lark? The sneaker internet community would melt…
Eight months from now, Rory will tee off in Augusta National in what will probably be the most watched golf tournament in a very long time. When we reconvene for that, will we see him wear a Nike Lunar Control III or something with his new logo attached to it? Nike Golf might as well do something with Rory considering they’re spending $4.7 billion in endorsements and lesser names than him have signature stuff. Hell, if Nike Golf needs ideas, I wouldn’t mind if they just him have Tiger’s old logo, which is still secretly one of the best logos they have ever done…

Cavs agree to terms with Mike Miller
The Cavaliers have agreed to terms with their first post-LeBron James free agent, and it's a guy that wouldn't be here if James hadn't come back.
Mike Miller, 34-year-old three-point specialist has agreed to join the Cavs on a two-year deal with an opt out after one season.
Miller joined forces with James in Miami for a few years before playing in Memphis last year. He's a 41% three-point shooter.

LeBron James announces he will return to Cleveland
CLEVELAND (AP) -- If LeBron James was going to win another NBA title, heal broken hearts and continue building his legacy, he knew there was only one place to go.
To Ohio. Home.
Four years after he left for Miami, a widely criticized departure that damaged his image and crushed a long-suffering city's championship hopes, James is coming back to play for the Cavaliers to try and end Cleveland's half-century title drought. He's returning to his basketball roots, to the people who know him best to make good on a promise.
The talented kid from Akron, now a homecoming king.
James made the announcement Friday with a powerful essay written for Sports Illustrated. His decision ended two weeks of speculation about his future with teams across the league waiting on his move.
In the end, he chose Cleveland over re-signing with the Heat.
"I looked at other teams, but I wasn't going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland," he said to SI. "The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy."
James had not yet signed a contract, but he made it clear he will wear a Cavaliers jersey next season.
"When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission," James said in the SI first-person story. "I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn't had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what's most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio."
James is the league's best all-around player, a four-time MVP who was dubbed "The Chosen One" as a can't-miss high school star. At 6-foot-8, 260 pounds, he can score from all over and is one of the game's best passers and defenders.
Staying in Miami would have been easy. He could have made another run at a third title and fifth straight NBA finals appearance with the Heat and close friends Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, the other members of a "Big 3" who have been the league's team-to-hate since 2010.
Instead, James picked the young, unproven Cavs, with a rookie coach who spent last year in Israel. Almost unbelievably, he'll again work for owner Dan Gilbert, who torched James on his way out the door in 2010.
For Cleveland, a city accustomed to so much sports heartache -- as the Cavaliers, Browns and Indians have come close but failed to win it all -- news of James' return triggered a spontaneous downtown celebration during Friday's lunch hours.
Car horns blared and strangers high-fived on the sidewalks outside Quicken Loans Arena, where James had so many big moments during his first seven seasons as a pro.
Four years ago, some fans burned his jersey. On July 11, 2014, all was forgiven.
The Cavs were considered a longshot when free agency opened. But as the days went by, Cleveland improbably emerged as a possible landing spot over Miami. While he was in Las Vegas earlier this week, James met with Heat president Pat Riley, the architect who assembled Miami's back-to-back championship teams.
Riley made a final pitch, but he had nothing to match the overwhelming lure of home.
"Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio," James told SI. "... People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I'm their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me."
James' exit ends an era in Miami, and will likely lead to Bosh signing elsewhere. The Heat now face an uncertain future after four straight Eastern Conference titles. Wade and Bosh all opted out this summer, as did longtime Heat forward Udonis Haslem.
"I went to Miami because of D-Wade and CB," James told SI. "I believed we could do something magical if we came together. And that's exactly what we did! The hardest thing to leave is what I built with those guys."
James was scorned for turning his back on Cleveland in 2010, announcing his decision on a poorly conceived TV special. His critics said he wasn't good enough to win a championship by himself, and that he needed to surround himself with All-Stars.
James may never surpass Michael Jordan's six titles, but his legacy could be being able to bring one to Cleveland, devoid of a championship in any sport since 1964.
"I'm not promising a championship," he said. "I know how hard that is to deliver. We're not ready right now. No way. Of course, I want to win next year, but I'm realistic."
He's starting fresh with Gilbert, who famously wrote a blistering letter condemning James and calling him disloyal, narcissistic and cowardly.
At some point, the two worked out their differences.
"I've met with Dan, face-to-face, man-to-man," James said. "We've talked it out."
Gilbert, too, has moved on.
"I am excited for the fans and people of Cleveland and Ohio. No fans and people deserve a winner more than them," Gilbert said on Twitter.
Like a kid who spent four years away at college, James is coming back home.
James is more mature for his encore. He's a proven champion, married with two sons and a daughter on the way. They're all coming back to rejoin family and friends.
"I feel my calling here goes above basketball," he said. "I have a responsibility to lead, in more ways than one, and I take that very seriously. My presence can make a difference in Miami, but I think it can mean more where I'm from. In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I'm ready to accept the challenge."
