Air Jordan 6 “World Cup”
After a stream of photos and previews we now have a little bit more info about the Air Jordan 6 “World Cup”. The soccer (or football if you’re so inclined) themed kicks obviously pay homage to the rich history of Brazil’s storied club, and with 5 World Cups chips already under their belt, their quest for number six is commemorated by these extremely limited Air Jordan 6 sneakers. When we say “extremely”, we mean just that. Only 2000 pairs of these bad boys will be available for purchase, which also means that week-long camping and all the typical shenanigans that go along with a limited releases will ensue. No word on release date yet, but hang out around the site and we’ll make sure you get the pertinents ASAP.
Adidas Superstar 80s – Blue Reptile
This classic shell-toed Superstar from Adidas gets a scaly makeover. Sitting atop a white on white sole to midsole action this tribe blue shoe gets a scaled up a look. Accented by white seen on the toebox, sock liner, and midsole this contrasting yet dynamic reptile is actually quite impressing. While I’m not sure if this is a mighty gator or killer croc material, all I know is blimey that’s a big one.
Jay-Z and Solange fight video: Beyoncé's sister assaults Jay-Z after Met gala [Footage]
Video footage released today from inside an elevator at the Standard Hotel shows Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law, Jay-Z, on Monday, May 5
The surveillance video shows singer-songwriter Solange beating the rapper with her hands and wildly kicking him while her sister, Beyoncé, watches the attack. Jay-Z does not strike back, but blocks Solange's blows with defensive moves.
The fight occurred after the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala last Monday. The gala's after party took place in the Standard Hotel's Boom Boom Room on the 18th floor.
In the video, superstar singer Beyoncé is already in the hotel elevator, and Solange, Jay-Z, and a bodyguard enter closely behind. Before the elevator's doors can close, Solange, 27, gets in the "Show Me What You Got" rapper's face, and appears to be yelling at him. As soon as the doors close, she unleashes a physical attack, pulling Jay-Z's clothes, and hitting him repeatedly.
As the bodyguard pulls her away from her brother-in-law, she kicks him with her stiletto-heeled feet. Solange is held in the corner of the elevator briefly before she lunges toward Jay-Z again, swinging and kicking while in the grasp of the security guard. Beyoncé, who stands against the back of the elevator during the melee, carefully moves the train of her Givenchy dress out of harm's way while her sister attacks her husband.
Solange can barely be contained by the bodyguard, who presses the elevator's emergency stop on the 12th floor.
Dozens of photos show the family leaving the Standard Hotel after the fight. A visibly upset Solange walked out first, followed by a sweating bodyguard. Beyoncé, 32, walks behind her sister, smiling for the many photographers outside.
Jay-Z, 44, appears bewildered as he exits the venue. Pictures show him holding the side of his face and adjusting his clothing as he walks toward a waiting vehicle. He is stopped by the bodyguard when he tries to enter the same vehicle that Solange is in, and is directed to a black SUV instead. Beyoncé gets in the same car as her sister.
None of the involved parties have released a statement regarding the attack.
Apple Close to Buying Beats by Dre for $3.2 Billion; Acquisition Would Make Dr. Dre Hip-Hop's First Billionaire!
Nobody forgot about Dr. Dre—in fact, Apple is about to make the rapper into hip-hop's first billionaire!
According to multiple outlets, Apple "is close to striking a deal" to purchase Beats by Dre for a cool $3.2 billion. This acquisition, which would be largest ever in Apple's history, would include the Beats Music streaming service (a competitor to Spotify and Pandora) that launched in January.
According to The New York Times, the deal "has not been consummated [yet], and the negotiations could still fall apart..." But, "people briefed on the [acquisition]" (who declined to be identified) said it "could be announced as early as next week" if completed.
Apple and Beats (co-founded by Dr. Dre and music executive Jimmy Iovine in 2008) have yet to comment publicly on the purported deal. Tyrese Instagrammed several a handful of videos Thursday night showing Dr. Dre's reactions to this in-the-works acquisition, but he quickly deleted them.
He did however, Instagram a photo of a man lying down on multiple bundles of cash of cash, writing, "To all of the homies on South Central I was told our beds are gonna look like this soon!!!! #BillionaireBedSpread #RestEasy the #DrFixedusUpAGAIN!!!"
Sean "Diddy" Combs Instagrammed a screen grab of a report proclaiming Dre and Apple are "reportedly close" to striking a deal. "This is BIG!" wrote Puffy. "If anyone deserves it, it's you! Congratulations Dr. Dre! #fromthesoontobe #DrCombs #wemadeit #proudofyou #thebarhasbeenrsised #motivated #timetogotowork."
It was just last month, Forbes ranked Diddy as the wealthiest artist in hip-hop, giving him an estimated $700 million fortune. The same list pegged Dre as hip-hop's second wealthiest artist, estimating his fortune to be worth $520 million. If Apple and Beats' deal goes through, Diddy's going to lose that top spot!
Clearly, though, hip-hop moguls stick together!

Homeland Security arrests over 600 gang suspects
This March 18, 2014 file photo shows US Customs and Border Protection Deputy Commissioner Thomas S. Winkowski during a news conference in Washington.
More than 600 suspected gang members have been arrested in the Homeland Security Department's latest crackdown on street gangs, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Thursday.
ICE agents, along with local authorities in 179 cities, arrested 638 suspected gang members over a monthlong period in March and April.
ICE officials said 78 suspected gang members were arrested on federal charges while another 447 currently face only state charges. ICE arrested 113 others on administrative immigration charges.
More than 400 of those arrested had violent criminal histories, including seven people wanted on murder charges. ICE did not identify all those arrested or the specific charges they face.
The latest crackdown, dubbed "Project Southbound", is part of a larger ICE initiative that started in 2005 to target street gangs with international ties. Since the effort started, ICE says it has arrest more than 33,000 suspected gang members.
Nearly three-quarters of the suspected gang members arrested in the latest operation belonged to the Surenos, or Sur 13, street gang, according to ICE.
Sur 13 originated in Southern California and has members across the country. Its members and affiliates pay tribute to the Mexican Mafia gang. In its 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment, the Justice Department said Sur 13 is expanding faster than any other national gang. The government said Sur 13 members are responsible for crimes including murder, extortion and drug trafficking.
The crackdown also netted several members of the ultraviolent Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, gang known for using machetes to hack and stab victims.
According to a 12-count racketeering indictment unsealed in federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland, in March, nine of the gang's members are accused of crimes including murder, extorting high school students and running brothels, witness tampering and obstructing justice.
Last year the Obama administration levied financial sanctions against six leaders of the gang, which the U.S. government previously designated as an international criminal group.
MS-13 was founded more than two decades ago by immigrants fleeing El Salvador's civil war. Its founders built a reputation as one of the most ruthless and sophisticated street gangs, as they took lessons from the brutal war to the streets of Los Angeles.
MS-13 also has a strong presence in Southern California, Washington and northern Virginia, all areas with substantial Salvadoran populations, and as many 10,000 members in 46 states. The gang is also allied with several of Mexico's warring drug cartels.
